DESCRIPTION
La secrète is at once highly poetic and very functional, offering the possibility of storing, concealing even, one’s objects in various recesses. Small in size, this piece is nonetheless possessed of a strong presence thanks to its remarkable design and allure.
The structure and interior fittings are made from walnut veneered MDF; the base is in solid walnut. Brilliant-chromed crosspieces and balance rail. There is a strut-mounted flap lid and a shutter on the top, which may be used as a writing surface while closed, plus a sliding document tray to the right and a space for ‘bits and pieces’ to the left. Designed to accommodate a laptop up to 17.3” in size, the cable for which can be concealed in a box with an up-and-over door located to the left-hand rear of the closed section.
